AMSOIL Synthetic Motor Oil
AMSOIL synthetic motor oils are engineered for drivers who want more than basic protection. The lineup covers gasoline engines, diesel engines, European vehicles, high-mileage vehicles, hybrids, racing, motorcycles, powersports, marine engines and power equipment.

Why we recommend AMSOIL motor oil
AMSOIL has focused on synthetic lubrication for decades and built its reputation around high-performance synthetic formulations. The company says it selects raw materials for quality and performance, then tests them before they enter manufacturing.
For many drivers, that matters most when the engine is hot, cold, turbocharged, heavily loaded or kept in service for long periods. A quality synthetic lubricant is designed to maintain its protective properties better under demanding conditions than a basic conventional oil.
AMSOIL Signature Series is the company’s flagship passenger-vehicle line. Depending on the exact product and service conditions, AMSOIL publishes extended-drain recommendations of up to 25,000 miles or one year. Always follow the product instructions and the requirements that apply to your vehicle.

Protection where engines need it most
Modern engines place tremendous demands on oil. Turbochargers create extreme heat. Direct injection can contribute to low-speed pre-ignition concerns. Tight internal clearances make quick cold-start oil flow important. Detergent and dispersant additives also have to keep contaminants suspended so deposits do not build up.
AMSOIL publishes industry-standard test results for specific products, including piston-deposit, volatility and LSPI testing. Those results are one reason we consider AMSOIL a premium choice rather than simply another bottle of oil on the shelf.
Choose by specification, not just viscosity
A 5W-30 oil is not automatically correct just because the cap says 5W-30. Your owner’s manual may also require an API, ILSAC, ACEA or manufacturer-specific specification. Use AMSOIL’s application guide to match the oil to the exact year, make, model and engine.
Common questions
Is AMSOIL better than conventional oil?
For demanding service, a premium synthetic oil can offer advantages in temperature stability, cold flow and resistance to breakdown. The correct choice still needs to meet the specifications required by the engine manufacturer.
Can I really run AMSOIL for 25,000 miles?
Some AMSOIL Signature Series products carry recommendations up to 25,000 miles or one year under qualifying normal service. Severe service and other product lines have different intervals. Follow the exact AMSOIL product instructions and any applicable manufacturer requirements.
How do I know which AMSOIL oil I need?
Use the AMSOIL vehicle lookup with your year, make, model and engine. It is safer than choosing by viscosity alone.
